Next Level Sports (NLS) is an organization designed to tap into the potential of today's youth and reach higher levels in academics, leadership, and civil stewardship through sports. NLS offers Lower Merion Township and surrounding communities a first class program at an affordable price so more families have opportunity to participate.
NLS offsets the "character issues" that describe the modern athlete, and the overt competitiveness that currently is present in youth sports. With NLS, participants will improve athletic performance, however that is not the only focus. NLS creates a learning experience where participants learn more about particular sport, people of different backgrounds, sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, and themselves. Next Level Sports inspiring our youth to Shatter the Expectation.
HISTORY
Next Level Sports is quickly gaining the reputation of being an up in coming leader in sports programs in Lower Merion Township. Through having a knowledgeable and dedicated team, NLS has been able to engage parents, participants, and surrounding community. Kyle Helton founded the concept of Next Level Sports (NLS) in 2001. In 2003, Kyle along with two graduates from Villanova University wanted to turn NLS into a Dot COM company, which would specialize, in promoting high school student athletes to college recruiters. Kyle found that this business model took away from NLS original intent, making a difference.
Primary goal for NLS is to make a difference. It's not just about a particular sport. Through playing sports, there are life lessons participants learn about perseverance, leadership, working with people, following direction, and taking action. NLS is a culmination of several experiences and lessons learned throughout the years rolled into a program. NLS began with flag football in the Fall 2006. In January 2008, NLS was fortunate to assume basketball program from long-standing league Rosemont Villanova Sports.
FUTURE
A winning team is being formed at Next Level Sports. Since Fall 2006, our focus has been with youth ages 4-12. Beginning in Spring 2009, NLS expanded its program to include both middle and high school student athletes through sport clinics and track and field program. In addition, Kyle Helton will premiere Kahvoy Kamps launching August 11, 2009. Also in 2009, NLS plans to launch a regional academic program called Next Level Achievers. We also plan to have mentoring programs to assist youth outside the playing field. In 2011, it is part of long range plan to have indoor facility offering year round services, continuing to make a difference, and taking our youth to the Next Level!
NLS is growing. Our goal is to grow into communities outside of Lower Merion Township, and eventually become a premier program in the Philadelphia Area. Regardless of how much we expand, NLS believes success is determined by how much we give, continually work to earn parents trust, and making each participant believe NLS cares about their progress in sports, school, and life in general.
